I am a fourth-year graduate student in the Department of Political Science at UNC-Chapel Hill. My research focuses on American politics and political methodology. I am particularly interested in sub-national politics, organized interests, and political communication.

For examples of the practical applications of my work, you can read a copy of “The Toppling,” published in the January 10, 2011 edition of The New Yorker, which references my work with Sean Aday and Steven Livingston. I was also a guest contributor to The Monkey Cage on February 26, 2013.

I serve as the Program Coordinator of the American Politics Research Group and the Political Science Departmental Speaker Series.
