I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at UNC-Chapel Hill. My research focuses on American politics and political methodology. I am particularly interested in sub-national politics, organized interests, and political communication. In Fall, 2015, I will be joining the Department of Political Science at the University of Massachusetts Lowell as an assistant professor.

My dissertation, “Grassroots Lobbying and The Economics of Political Information in the Digital Age,” uses a mixed methods approach to examine how legislators prioritize and respond to email information from their constituents.
